Looking to Re-open

It's been too long, far too long, since I've seen some of my outstanding guests. Over the years I've been creating behind the chair I've gotten so comfortable with coming in, seeing my people, doing the thing, and going home. I had taken it for granted even, and now after over a month of shut down, getting back in the game is all I can seem to focus on. I miss it so much, I miss my normal, I miss my home away from home, and I miss my people and my tribe.

I've taken some time to dive deep into perfecting my trade. Hours pouring over online course materials, practicing on one of those awful doll heads, and tons of video training. I'm excited to get back to work with some new skills, new services, and a whole new outlook. But all the training and continuing education in the world will not ease the process of reopening.

So there are some things I want you to know....

1) I had to cancel a whole bunch of appointments when "the man" shut us down at the beginning of April, and I am cancelling more and more appointments every day as this drags on. Please know that it breaks my heart to have to send out the dreaded "We didn't make the cut for Phase 1" message. Also know that I got you, I am keeping a very thorough list of the appointments I cancel in the order I have cancelled them in. So, if you had an appointment on Saturday, April 4th, you are at the top of the list, hon! I will reach out in the order that they were cancelled in as soon as I am able to reopen.

2) When I do start booking appointments I ask that you please respond in a timely fashion, as I have a lot of work cut out for me and may eventually need to move ahead to book other appointments. I will try my hardest to accommodate people quickly but with the sanitation and social distancing guidelines that will be required of us availability will be a little more limited than normal.

3)If you did not have an appointment cancelled but need to set up an appointment please let me know as soon as possible that you would like to schedule. After I work through my cancellations I will then move on to booking new appointments in the order the requests were received.

4)I have watched as other states have reopened trying to get an idea of what will be required of my team and I when we get back to it. I want everyone to know that their health and safety has always been very important to us and we will continue to meticulously sanitize the salon according to state board regulations, and PBA and CDC guidelines. But what does this mean for you? Well, I'm so glad you ask... Our waiting areas have been removed, I am asking that my clients wait in their vehicle until their appointment time, and to please come alone. I love your kids, you guys have great friends and significant others as well, but at this time we can't be as social as normal in the salon. Also if you're feeling a little bleh, just reschedule, better safe than sorry at this time, plus I've dropped all cancellation fees for the time being to make that an easier pill to swallow.

5) I will have virtual consultations available for select services. Please email, call, or text about inquiries. If you want a large change or maybe got a little hair color happy during quarantine I want to be able to book your service accordingly, so please, drop me a line. We can have a nice little video chat, don't even worry about not wearing makeup, as I may not be wearing any myself.

6) This is the most important one. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. I have some really amazing clients and I have been absolutely blown away by you guys. So thank you for checking in with me, asking me how my kids or my husband are doing. Thank you for pre-paying for appointments, or purchasing gift cards. Thank you for sharing my social media posts or giving my card and number to a friend. Thank you for waiting, I have roots too and I look a hot mess all in the name of solidarity. I am shook, really and truly.
